My local Wal Mart has Choice Angus briskets on for half price .
Bought a thick one last night for 26.00 weighing
12.6 lbs . Just thought someone might want to look
as I am in Mesquite Tx FYI

Word of caution.  Wally World had a mark down like that a few years ago, a so I bought several of them for an upcoming catering gig.  Put them in my meat refrigerator and 10 days later went to cook them and every one was spoiled.  Still had receipt, but they would not honor their 200% money back because of the 10 day lag time.  So be cautious.  Brisket isn't usually a loss leader there.

YMMV.

At least mine came out great , Our Wal Mart here in Texas is awesome . Sam's Club which is known in this area
as having choice briskets are always thin on the flat . Sorry about your luck where do you normally buy your products at ?

Buddy,

I typically buy from Sam's.  Occasionally from Walmart if I see one that looks really good in the case and it is choice.  Nearest Costco is 100 mile away, so seldom shop there.  Glad you got a good deal on briskets.  If I were to see that deal again, the lesson would be to open all of the bags to check for spoilage then freeze them for future use.
