My father built this grill a few years ago and it’s never been very useful, too open for grilling.  But I can see it being an excellent smoker and thought this forum would be a good place to check.  My initial thoughts are to find an iron door with a damper for the front and something to cover the top to obviously trap the heat and smoke.  Wondering if I need to come up with something to add insulation like is done on competition smokers?  Any ideas would be appreciated!
