I finally took the plunge and got the VacMaster 215. Why did I wait so long? This thing is the bomb. Ready to start sous vide cooking. 2 quick questions… where's the best place to buy bags for it ? What kind of soup vide cooker do you use and recommend? I'm one of those who waits longer to get something that I love and have no regrets.

Appreciate any suggestions.

I had seen the Anova sous vide mentioned on this site. Got the lower wattage model last year before Christmas on sale. Does a good job for a reasonable price.

Sorry, just seen your post. Webstaurant Store has great prices on bags. I have the Anova and have yet to talk to anyone that didn't like it, awesome unit. After sous vide cook is done you can finish your sear over charcoal, broiler, cast iron, torch.....Be careful on how much smoke if you want to smoke first then sous vide, a little goes a long way, experiment and read a lot on what others do. Liquid smoke WHAT??? I'll leave it at that :-) You will like both units!!!
